CARMICHAEL, Calif. — Fifteen classic British sports cars lined the grounds of the Sacramento Fine Arts Center during a Second Saturday Plein Air event, giving local artists a set of subjects to work from.

What began as a gathering of local artists in 1991 has grown into a Labor Day tradition drawing roughly 40,000 people to Midtown Sacramento.
